Repetition With Paper Shapes

                       The process of creating this was to start by picking a design that my group and I wanted to repeat. then we started to plan out what colors we wanted to use and how we were going to organize the shapes. we had a tough time picking out the colors because my teammate wanted another color while I wanted another one but we figured things out.  After we picked everything, we started to cut out the shapes. we cut 5 squares and circles of each shape to make sure we had enough to cover the whole poster paper. We all worked together to cut out shapes. 2 people would draw the shapes and the other 2 would cut out the shapes. Then we started to tape them together and put them on the poster paper. I believe that we achieved in creating the form of repetition because we used all colors to create the repetition. Bridget Riley  Bridget Riley was born on April 24,1931, In London. Her Father and grandfather were both printmakers, so art was always a part of her life. She Studied at Cheltenham Ladies' College and later art at Goldsmiths College and the Royal College of Art in London. She worked as an art teacher where she began to explore shapes, lines, and light. Her work shows repetition by her arrangement of repeating lines, shapes, and colors that appear to move, vibrate, or pulsate when viewed by a person.
